If you run a taxi or cab business, your website has one job: turn people searching for a ride into bookings — on the phone, on WhatsApp or online. What that costs depends far more on what the website needs to do than on how many pages it has.
Here is an honest breakdown of the three levels most Indian taxi operators choose between.
1. Enquiry website — from ₹14,999
Best for: new operators, single-city services, drivers-with-own-car businesses.
A fast, mobile-first website with:
- Home page with your main services (local, outstation, airport)
- Popular route pages (for example Dehradun to Mussoorie or Rishikesh)
- Fleet section with real vehicle photos
- One-tap Call and WhatsApp buttons on every screen
- A short enquiry form that lands in your phone or email
- Basic SEO setup: titles, descriptions, Google Search Console, sitemap
This level does not take online payments or manage drivers. It exists to make your phone ring — and for many operators, that is exactly right.
2. Booking website — ₹24,999 to ₹39,999
Best for: operators who get steady enquiries and want less back-and-forth.
Everything above, plus:
- Structured booking form (pickup, drop, date, time, vehicle type, passengers)
- Fare guidance per route or per-km rates by vehicle
- Separate pages for each important route and service — the pages that rank on Google
- Admin panel to update routes, fares and vehicles yourself
- Automatic confirmation message to the customer
3. Taxi booking software — from ₹69,999
Best for: operators with multiple vehicles, drivers or branches.
This is a web application, not just a website:
- Real booking management with statuses (new, confirmed, assigned, completed)
- Driver and vehicle assignment
- Fare calculator with one-way, round-trip, night and waiting rules
- Online advance payments via Razorpay / UPI
- GST-ready invoices and booking reports

What actually changes the price
- Number of route pages. Five well-written route pages are a very different job from fifty.
- Online payments. Payment gateways need testing, confirmations and refund handling.
- Admin features. Letting you edit fares and vehicles yourself adds development time — and saves you money later.
- Content. If you provide photos and details, it is faster. If we write and photograph everything, it costs more.
- Integrations. WhatsApp APIs, SMS, Google Maps distance calculation and CRMs each add scope.
Costs beyond the build
Budget for these separately:
- Domain: roughly ₹800–₹1,500 per year for a .com or .in
- Hosting: depends on the setup; a small business site usually costs a few thousand rupees a year
- Maintenance: optional care plans from ₹1,999/month cover updates, backups and small edits
- SEO: optional monthly SEO from ₹7,999/month if you want to actively grow rankings
Make sure the domain and hosting are registered in your own name. It is your business asset.
Cheap vs. right
A ₹3,000 template site can look fine but often loads slowly, has no route pages and cannot be edited without the original developer. A taxi website pays for itself when it brings in even a few extra outstation bookings a month — so the right question is not "what is the cheapest?" but "what will bring me bookings?"
